Hello,

I'm Tracey and I'm so happy to see you here!

My love for cakes began when I was a little girl, cooking alongside my grandmother in her kitchen. Baking cakes and even getting to lick the wooden spoon with the left-over mixture after the cake was in the oven!

I continued to study cooking at school, but then my passion stayed dormant for a little while after I started my secretarial career.

When my husband Steve and I moved our life to France, cakes were a way of sharing a little bit of love with our new French friends. I enjoyed sharing new things that were typically English that they hadn't tasted before.

After a while they encouraged me to to start my own business, so that more of our community could benefit from these little English treats and so Tasty Treats was born in September 2012.

Since starting my business I had a regular stall at the market in Thouars and have been at many events in the department including the Summer Marchés des Producteurs and Christmas Markets. These special events are a celebration of the local produce that is created in the Deux Sevres, they have such wonderful atmospheres, as people wander around in the summer sunshine and music playing, or a cup of vin chaud and Christmas bells in the background.

Our love of these events and my husband’s talent in transforming things gave us the idea to create a Food Truck we could use that reflected the cake business and my personality. In 2017 we bought a horse box and transformed it into our beloved Dolly, you can find out all about her here.

Today you can order cakes directly from me for your special occasion, or for a little weekend treat, and of course you can also book me and Dolly for your events!
