Where I create my cakes
A dream
As my business grew, and the number of cakes I was producing increased, I needed a bigger dedicated kitchen!
I had dreamed of having my own cupcake kitchen, but hadn’t thought it would become a reality!
The success of my business meant we were able to turn my dream into a reality, we started converting one of our out buildings into a bespoke kitchen area for me to create more delicious cakes!
I could see it in my imagination, pink and blue with a chequered floor!
Making it a reality
Although I could visualise the kitchen in my imagination, lots of work needed to happen first! That’s when I got to partner with my clever husband who is a builder by trade here in France.
We set about preparing the old building, putting in electrics and plastering the walls and laying the foundations for creating my dream kitchen.
Finishing touches
Once the foundational work was complete, it was time for the exciting part where I got to make my dream a reality.
The beautiful floor was laid, colour was added to the walls, cupboards and ovens arrived to be installed and we could see how the finished kitchen was going to look!
Time to bake!
The functional elements were completed and I could add all my creative touches to the space, really making it my own place to create my little specialities anglais!
I couldn’t wait to bake my first batch of cakes in my new dedicated space, filled with my dreams a little bit of which you taste in each bite.
